PERIOD OF THE PROJECT
2015-2016
Jacob Ndabaramiye, Harvest adviser for Africa, contacted Bishop Augustine (Kigeme diocese of the Anglican Church in Rwanda), who wanted to change the situation of more than three hundred local churches in Southern Rwanda. In addition to establishing a self-sustaining Samaritan Strategy team, their objective was also to help local churches have a wholistic lifestyle of service based on the Scriptures. The Kigeme Samaritan Strategy project team was very effective in planning and implementing Disciplines of Love and Seed Projects to demonstrate God’s love to people in all areas of life. Pastors were able to demonstrate God’s intentions to the needy people of their communities. They supported hundreds of families with food distribution, clothing, house repair, reconciliation of broken families, destruction of satanic places in many homes, new methods to grow gardens, and income generating projects initiated by local churches. There were 70 participants in the Samaritan Strategy project and 22 were commissioned as new trainers.
