LEADERSHIP TRAINING
A gift that keeps on giving
PROJECT COORDINATORS
Léo and Rebeca Wylkerson
PLACE
Ciudad del Este, Paraguay
PERIOD OF THE PROJECT
2019- present
Léo and Rebeca Wylkerson are Brazilian high school teachers. Their busy schedules include full-time jobs and a dynamic ministry leading youth and music at the Foursquare Church. They joined the Samaritan Strategy Program (SamS) to be more effective in leadership training, offering to local churches the opportunity to serve sacrificially in their world as Jesus served in His.
With Cefas Oliveira, a team member, they traveled to Paraguay for a training module in December 2018. During the training, they envisioned leaders to use local resources to do short, small, and simple activities to demonstrate God’s love to those outside the church. Unlimited possibilities opened up for the local churches that now are planning two seed projects: (1) Revitalize a city square that is next to the church and (2) build pallet tables and chairs for children that are ministered by the church.
MULTIPLICATION
Our prayer is that the SamS project in Ciudad del Este may multiply in several cities of the country.
PRAYERS
We thank the Lord for the open doors to train church leaders in Paraguay. May the churches that are trained move into their communities to show God’s redemptive love and power.
