BIRTHING BELIEVERS AND CHURCH GROWTH

 

 

The Bible teaches that the church’s purpose is to reflect God’s multifaceted agenda—participation with Christ in the work of healing, transformation, and restoration of all things. The primary task of church leadership is the equipping of members to fulfill this purpose. Individual Christians are responsible before God to both proclaim and demonstrate the love of God and advocate for His reign in all segments of society. Evangelism, people receiving Christ, spiritual maturity, and church growth are byproducts as the church fulfills this role, given to her by Christ.

In wonderful and amazing ways, God uses obedience by His people as they serve others to open the door for sharing the Gospel, to change non-believers to believers, and to accomplish local church growth. Wholistic ministry—serving the needs of the whole person, in every area of society—does produce fruit for God’s Kingdom.
